Your role as Senior Digital Designer at Lily’s Kitchen: -

Ecommerce at Lily’s Kitchen is a fun and dynamic place to work. You are catching us at precisely the right time to help make a tangible difference to the growth of our business. We are currently on website version 2.0 which we are about to optimize and also plan for our expansion onto a new platform, one that has customer experience at its heart.

As a senior digital designer and art worker your skills help to convert the consumer into a customer. You should have a refined design style, that helps you understand and translate the customer experience [brief] into an easy to understand visual & text language.

The job requires that you are taking brand assets and translating them into the daily campaigns we run in Ecommerce in collaboration with our Brand Marketing team, that will have uses on our website, in email, social media and in all our digital touch points.

You will also be briefed on new Ecommerce campaigns that require a level of creativity over and above day to day art working which will add excitement, stimulation and interest into your working week.

Lily’s Kitchen is special and different and our design is unique. You must have the skills to work with a complex set of brand assets combined with the ability to make clear, effective communications.

The working pace is fast, but planned and you need to be that person that loves to work at speed in an organized way to deliver finished assets on time and to brief.

How will I make a difference?

You will: -

  • Work collaboratively with all relevant people and contributors to ensure your designs meet the site’s format, brand and technical specifications.
  • Use your UI/UX skills and experience to wireframe new content within the website, for banners and in email.
  • Work with the Content Teams in Ecommerce and Brand Marketing to test conversion of your designed assets.
  • As member of our content News Room, you will be a collaborator that ensures your designed assets are delivered within our content workflow and meets the creative, scheduling and operational needs.
  • Your designs around conversion (revenue drivers) and brand content (experience/ engagement) should encourage sales while not adversely affecting brand equity.
  • Work within brand guidelines at all times and within our technical specifications.
  • Apply assets directly into our websites using the content management system using a mix of HTML, CSS, image and text.
  • Capable of translating digital content into print ready files for leaflets, brochures and seasonal catalogues.
  • Ensure you work closely with the offline design team and art director to ensure consistency and scale across multiple brand touch points.
  • Work closely with social media team to generate relevant social content, fit for purpose and right first time in order to improve the social experience of our fans and customers.

How will I be successful?

  • First class Adobe Creative Suite skills especially Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
  • Adobe Premiere & Aftereffects would be a nice to have.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of Accessibility and Usability standard
  • Knowledge of CMS interfaces
  • Knowledge of UI and UX
  • Wireframe and Story Board content experiences
  • Typography, layout both digital and print
  • GIF animations
  • As much a Digital Native in as out of the working environment
  • Abreast with digital developments and best practices
  • Have a portfolio of graphic design work and be a design graduate with digital as a key component
  • A sharp keen eye for detail, grammar and spelling
  • Solid understanding of Mobile First methodologies and responsive solutions
  • Solid understanding of the technical abilities and limitations of web and mobile technologies
  • First class project management experience with the ability to juggle many live projects
  • Knowledge of social media design requirement
  • Collaboration with design team and art director
  • As far as business-jargon goes, our best practice learnings signal a need for a PFP (passion for pets)

  • You will be well practiced at using your initiative, have a can-do attitude and will be peachy keen to learn and grow.
