Quality Manager

Your place at the Lily’s Kitchen Table: -

As Quality manager you join a business with quality at its heart of what is does and you will be responsible for ensuring this is nurtured and grown in line with our phenomenal business growth.

How will I make a difference?

You will: -

  • Create and implement a Quality Management System including; quality policies, procedures, standards and specifications with a view to achieving LRQA accreditation in the future;
  • Conduct audits of the end to end supply chain, to ensure complete transparency, traceability and assurance of specifications being met;
  • Review customer requirements and make sure they are surprised and delighted by our quality;
  • Ensure the manufacturing or production processes not only meet but go beyond the international/national standards and regulations by implementing world class QC processes, aligned with HSE, legal, PFMA etc;
  • Ownership of the QC and testing process from end to end ensuring we can guarantee what it says on the outside is genuinely on the inside;
  • Buklding a close working relationship with our Supply Chain and Product Development teams to establish quality requirements from external suppliers, reviewing specifications and artwork to ensure compliance;
  • Own the hold and release process and decision making for the entire business;
  • Set standards for quality as well as health and safety;
  • Set up and maintain controls for change management through documentation and procedures;
  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports;
  • Follow the Deming cycle of Plan. Do. Check. Act to ensure that the business is delivering continuous improvement, making suggestions for changes and improvements as well as how to implement these;
  • Use relevant quality tools and ensure all Lilys Kitchen teams understand how to use these to improve the business, implementing business wide SOPs and training records;
  • Continylinly ensuring the company is working as effectively as possible to stay ahead of the competitors, implementing changes to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

How will I be successful?

  • As the Quality guru you will be the education and engagement champion for quality in the business
  • You’ll have a lifetime of experience with Quality processes and may even be a MIQA member
  • Food and drink manufacturing, distribution and retail will have been paramount during most of your career to date
  • You will also be super qualified or educated in all things Quality including TQM, ISO standards and ideally be GMP trained
  • As far as business-jargon goes, our best practice leanings signal a need for a PFP (passion for pets)
  • Lily’s Kitchen values will shine through in everything you do
  • It’s faster paced than a team of huskies here at Lily’s Kitchen. You’ll need to be comfortable with sitting on that fast moving sleigh
  • You will be passionate about Quility and keep yourself regular updated with industry news
  • You’ll have an endearingly affinity for Microsoft Office and all it quirks
  • You’ll be better at communication than postman Pat with 12 phones and a carrier pigeon.
  • A Puss-in-Boots-level planner and organisational skills to rival Moncia Geller
  • You’ll be well practiced at using your initiative, have a can-do attitude and will be peachy keen to learn and grow.
