We don't just want to tell you about our commitment to recyclable packaging. Pets are an intrinsic part of the environment we live in. We wanted to make a difference to our pets and what they eat and to stem the tide of toxic ingredients routinely used in pet foods.
We use organic ingredients in our pet food recipes. Organic farming respects the environment by not using pesticides or other chemicals that harm the environment. Organic farmers are also deeply committed to the humane care of their livestock.
Our dog food and cat food recipes are completely free of any artificial additives or preservatives - we rely on natural preservatives like Rosemary oil and the way we cook our foods to make sure they are in perfect condition.
Our ingredients are free from hormones, pesticides and fertilizers - all of which are harmful to the environment. The fact that your dog or cat will not be eating all these pesticides will help ensure his or her long term health as well as daily health and vitality - healthy skin, coat and eyes.
And yes, all our packaging is recyclable and the inks we use are usually water based or vegetable based. (We were keen to use pouches at the start...but then discovered that they are not recyclable)
Our dry pet food bag for example is compostable and printed with vegetable based inks.
Even though we are proud of our achievements to date, we are committed to getting better and better. Pets are part of our world and make our environment a happier place so it seems only right to provide them with environmentally-friendly food.
We are members of PETA and are against invasive animal testing. We try out our recipes on Lily and very many of her furry friends and companions.
