Supplements can help provide your dog with additional support for a particular need that is important to you and your pet. For example, if you’re concerned about your dog’s joint health and mobility, a supplement may help with that.
We have created each supplement with the aim of making it easy to feed to your dog. Our tablets can be fed by hand, or they can be added to your dog’s food (they can be broken in half if that makes it any easier!). Our Bum & Belly supplement has been made into a sprinkle capsule because the powder form ensures maximum probiotics remain live and effective. A tablet form can destroy the probiotics.
We also wanted no waste packaging, which is why we created a compostable sprinkle capsule rather than an individual sachet.
You’ll also be glad to hear that you don’t need to weigh your sprinkle capsule before serving! Easy peasy.
Yes, it’s fine to feed your dog a combination of different Lily’s Kitchen supplements, as long as you are following the recommended feeding guidelines. We would suggest not mixing supplements without first gauging your dog’s acceptance to one supplement at a time beforehand. As always, it’s best to consult with your vet before introducing any new supplements to their diet.
We have not created these supplements for the use of cats, and so they have not been designed to support their unique nutritional requirements. Sorry, kitties! If you are considering giving your cat supplements, please ensure you are feeding them appropriate supplements. Your vet can guide you on this should you need help.
If you accidentally give your dog too many supplements, and the amount has only slightly increased (e.g. you have doubled their dose for one day), we recommend that you do not feed your dog any the following day and then continue as normal from then onwards.
However, if your dog eats any more than that, please see your vet as soon as possible.
If you are unsure how many supplements to give your dog on a daily basis, please look at the Feeding Guidelines on pack and detailed on the product page.
Our supplements and salmon oil have been designed specifically for adult dogs from 12 months. We would not advise giving to dogs younger than this.
If your dog has specific health concerns or allergies, it’s always best to consult with your vet before introducing any new supplements to their diet.
